July 22, 2008Forest Hill Walking TourThe Valentine Richmond History Center is offering a walking tour of Forest Hill this coming Sunday from 2-4PM. The tour will center around the history of Forest Hill Park and current restoration work at the lake, as well as the immediate neighborhood surroundings. Great time for a walking tour! Isn’t 2-4pm the hottest time of the day?
So I am assuming dogs are not allowed for this Sunday’s tour?
Leah makes a good point about doing this during the heat of the day. That walk down to the lake can be brutal for those of us getting up in years.
That said, it’s well to make the effort. That lake used to be a real gem back in the not so long ago “day” ( well, if you call 40 year not so long ago) and any thing that will raise awareness should be supported.
