I was totally blown away by the event. Gonna have to get there at 8 next week for some Strawberries.
I was hoping I could have signed the petition for Cathy Grazino while there. instead of having to get my signature notorized… Maybe she’ll have a booth next week, I’ll gladly support her for her hard work around the park.
^ Graziano. It’s too early on a Monday.
You don’t have to get it notarized there. You can just sign. The person collecting the petitions has to get it notarized.
I didn’t get there until 10:45ish. Did I miss where you could buy actual food from local growers? I did purchase some tomato plants but was hoping to buy actual produce. Maybe I need to arrive super early next time.
By 10:45, most vendors were out. But at least two sellers of organi meats/eggs.cheese were still there and one organic grower of pruduce still had lettuce/greens/kale, etc. It all went fast. But since everything is local, there won’t be any Florida tomatoes, etc.
David correct about the local produce: it’s still pretty early in the season, so watch for the selection and abundance to increase in coming weeks and months. Thanks to all who came out! Hopefully we can keep the momentum going…
