Farmer’s Market Reminder

Just in case you forgot, or missed it the first time around, the South of the James Market kicks off tomorrow morning, 8am, at Shelter 2 in Forest Hill Park (circa New Kent & 42nd). I’ll be the guy trying to figure out how to carry 4 armloads of produce home on his bike.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone not go the market this morning? That was AWESOME. We got there at 10-something (the first time) and it was pretty well picked-over. What a nice problem to have, though!

I did indeed go and was impressed. I didn’t get there ’til 10:45ish, so most of what I would have bought was gone, but I suppose that bodes well. Lesson learned, and I’ll be there early next time.

I’m told Channel 12 should have a piece on this at 11 tonight.

We got there at 8:15am and vendors were already selling out of things. It was a mob scene. I’m trying to convince my mother (who sells at the Goochland market) to switch venues.
