Brush fires

The railroad tracks roughly between Forest Hill and the Powhite saw several small brush fires this morning. The T-D suggests that the fire department had a rough time reaching the sites of the fires, but everything seemed normal as far as I could see by around 7:45.

The brush that’s on fire is actually around the base of the train trestle. The fire department can’t get to it, but that doesn’t really matter as there is nothing but river and a fireproof trestle within a hundred yards. It’s probably going to smolder for a while.

there was another one yesterday on the tracks @ Bassett and Hilltop. Though this one my have been set on purpose?? with POSSSIBLE bullets in the fire causing loud ” gunfire” shots during the fire ( as per a police officer said???)
