About those garbage cans…

The new regulations & fines associated with trash can removal have prompted a fair amount of controversy and confusion. Acting Director of the Department of Public Works Rosemary Green discusses the new situation in more detail.

All the stuff going on in the city, and they’re going to ticket people over trash cans? Can’t they think of a single better use of those employees’ working hours than to slap tickets on trash cans? Because I can come up with a laundry list of things that I think should take precedence over something this trivial and stupid.

This is ridiculous. The city is really going to waste my tax dollars enforcing a “safety concern” caused by a trash can next to an alley? What a joke.

It is remarkable, isn’t it? I built a nice little enclosure to hide trash & recycle bins, but I’ve been tempted to leave them just back from the sidewalk in my yard just to prove a point.

Let me guess, two words, seven letters total…? :)
