Holiday Bazaar

The Richmond Waldorf School will be holding its Holiday Bazaar on Saturday November 17, 10am-3 pm. Featured will be arts & craft vendors, children’s activities, and perhaps the best-sounding lunch menu I’ve ever seen for such an event.

For those of you who’ve never noticed the Waldorf School before, it’s tucked in behind Westover Baptist Church in that little bend of WH Blvd, where 49th St splits off.

The holiday bazaar at RWS sounds interesting. And fun for the entire family, whether you attend RWS or not.

I never hear much about Westover Baptist Church. It appears the church exterior was just painted. Has the church attendance dropped? Do they have a large congregation? Are they a moderate-conservative or liberal baptist church? Would love to see a tag on WBC and see peoples comments.

First, I hate I had to miss the RWS Holiday Bizarre. Two dear friends of mine were married all the way in Louisville, KY. Hopefully, I’ll be in town when the next one rolls around.

Second, I’m one of the new pastors at Westover Baptist. We did just finish painting our exterior. Our attendance is usually somewhere between 70 and 100. We had over 130 at homecoming a few weeks ago. I’ve only been around for a few months, but I believe that’s a bit of an upturn. The membership is something like 500 - a number that hasn’t been accurate for years, I’d guess.

I’d call us a moderate-to-liberal-leaning baptist church, depending on which member you ask.
